The workout plan by Adam Halper is personalized, and he’s effective. … I think he has a real target audience for people like me, who are old with serious limitations.
Three major physical restrictions prompted me to seek Halper’s help: a bad knee, a damaged shoulder and an injured back that required surgery a year and a half ago. Halper has managed to address all my trouble spots by strengthening the muscles around them.

“Adam pushes me, but he’s really good about when to back off, If something’s not working, he adjusts. If I can’t do something … he just has me do it (differently).”

Since working with Halper, I can tackle big hills that used to give me trouble on my bike rides, I have increased my shoulder weights by 5 pounds and I am able to stand for longer periods of time without suffering lower-back pain. Although I am still on the path to eliminating all my pain, my work with Halper is proof that it is possible to strengthen the body regardless of multiple physical setbacks.

I started my journey back to fitness at 330 lbs back in January 2012 (down from 400 pounds). Personal Trainer Adam helped me get on the right track with his training advice and motivation. I supplemented Adam's advice with online resources, a strict no carbs diet and daily 6 AM spin classes. I now weight 198 Lbs; So do not let anyone tell you that it is NOT POSSIBLE to get fit ! Fitness is a lifelong journey and I intend to stick with my diet and exercise routine and reach my goal of 185 lbs. I thank Adam for showing me how to make good decisions with diet and exercise as a part of my daily routine.  Exercise is now a welcome routine that I enjoy, as I have journeyed from overweight to feeling incredible with my results.

Having being overweight for a long time, I finally got fed up with my weight, and no longer felt happy with my appearance. I decided to jump start my weight loss journey by signing up for an introductory training package with Adam. Adam impressed me with knowledge, passion, encouragement, and genuine interest in my progress , I was encouraged to continue my training sessions to achieve my goals faster.  As we progressed through our sessions, Adam gave me guidance and insight on nutrition, motivation and challenging workouts to TORCH FAT , all of which I previously thought I was physically  incapable of. Within 3 months, I lost 25 pounds, 12% body fat, and have gained incredible amount of renewed physical strength, confidence and energy to take on more strenuous hobbies and tasks.  Adam has helped me learn to look forward to my fitness routines and regular visits to the gym to maintain an effective fitness regime for the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE !  I am looking forward to losing 30 more pounds and am glad I have Adam as my trainer to push me and encourage me through my weight loss journey.

I had been out of the gym and out of touch with my health for over 2 years. At age 58, 20 months ago, I met Adam at an introductory training session.  At that time, I was the heaviest (200lb) that I have ever been in my life.  My legs had been weakened through imbalanced usage due to a couple of injuries over the past two years.  My knees were wobbly and I could barely stand on the bosu.  At that session, I was declared "obese" for the first time in my life despite regular jogging.  I've been training with Adam twice per week ever since.  In that time, I have lost 15 lbs as well as built up considerable muscle mass.  I'm much more stable and can put on my socks and pants standing up for the first time in over 10 years.  My overall strength in all muscles has improved dramatically - I feel 5-10 years younger in terms of what my body can do (way more than I could do 2 years ago).  A year ago I was limping around on a bad knee and now I can do any leg workout including running in the hills.  It's wonderful to be able to "bench press" heavy grocery bags now!  Investing in Adam is investing in my health and it's way cheaper than dealing with the dangers of a body weakening with age well before it should.  Adam's experience in dealing with injuries plus his positive but hard driving training has made him especially qualified to help someone like me.  He is the best!  He is great training with anyone - he also has been helping my 15 year old son who attends ice hockey school in Canada.
